На музыкальном фестивале в ФРГ погибло 19 человек

Количество погибших в давке на музыкальном фестивале "Love Parade" в Дуйсбурге 24 июля достигло уже 19 человек. Об этом сообщает немецкая газета "Deutsche Welle" со ссылкой на агентство "dpa". Еще 340 человек получили травмы, уточняет "Лента.ру" со ссылкой на "AFP".

Специально созданный кризисный штаб принял решение не прерывать мероприятия, чтобы избежать новой волны паники. По плану "Love Parade" должен закончиться вечером воскресенья, 25 июля.

Давка на фестивале возникла из-за того, что слишком много народу пытались попасть на мероприятие, несмотря на то, что фестивальная площадка и так была заполнена людьми. Территорию фестиваля оцепили полицейские и сообщили через громкоговорители о том, что вход на фестиваль закрыт. Тем не менее, желающие все равно стремились попасть за оцепление. Единственный проход на территорию фестиваля вел через туннель, где из-за скопления людей началась давка.

Фестиваль электронной танцевальной музыки Love Parade проходит в Германии с 1989 года. Изначально местом проведения мероприятия был Берлин, однако позже фестиваль стали организовывать и в других регионах Германии. В среднем Love Parade каждый год посещают около миллиона человек. В Дуйсбург, по данным организаторов, приехало около 1,4 миллиона человек.
